Manila, Philippines — Internationally esteemed futurist and analyst Elliott Masie is hailed as one of the World's Top Movers and Shakers in eLearning. Masie will keynote the Global Online Association for Learning's (GOAL's) LEARNING SUMMIT 2016, a three-day international summit on global trends and innovations in learning, which will take place on February 16 to 18, 2016, at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
Masie will cover two topics, "Future-Proofing Learning" and "Dare to be Different: Unconventional Learning," which will showcase best practices in eLearning and knowledge management.
Masie heads The MASIE Center, a New York think-tank focused on maximizing the value of learning and knowledge within the workplace. He also leads the Learning Consortium, a coalition of global organizations committed to improving the field of learning.
Masie's work pushes for the improvement of knowledge, learning and collaboration within organizations. This includes the use of learning and collaboration technologies for the profitability of business enterprises. The US Department of Defense and the White House Advisory Council on Expanding Learning Opportunities are among the groups that Masie advises.
Masie is also a prolific Broadway producer, having produced Broadway hits like the Tony award-winning Kinky Boots and Allegiance, which stars Lea Salonga and George Takei.GOAL'S Learning Summit 2016 will feature a powerhouse roster of speakers from diverse fields and learning styles. Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, Ballet Manila CEO and Bodily Kinesthetic Intelligence Awardee, will speak on the role of the body in the learning process. Olivier Ochanine, Music Director of the Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra and 2015 Antal Dorti Competition winner, will speak on the effectiveness of music as a catalyst for learning. Olivier Serrat, Principal Knowledge Management Specialist of the Asian Development Bank, will discuss practical knowledge management principles and techniques in teaching and training. Arnel Pineda, renowned frontman of the American rock band Journey, will speak about the Arnel Pineda Foundation and its advocacy to make learning more accessible to out-of-school youth. Other subject matter experts from academe, industry and government will likewise share their own insights on trends influencing 21st century learning.
